Volunteer Your eBay Knowledge for a Good Cause
Need volunteer hours? Earn them while selling on eBay!
I recently had a ministry in my community ask me to sell a bunch of old books that had been donated to them. eBay is a great fundraiser.
Ask your church or some other organization in your community if you could be of service to them in the fundraising arena. eBay can help them reach a whole new array of donors they would not have reached otherwise.
Things to remember: Keep track of what you sell and how much it sells for and how many fees you have. It might be a good idea to subtract the eBay fees from the amount you give back to the organization. This way, you won't have to give anything out of pocket. (Unless, you want to give out of your own money so that the organization will have more money…and if that is the case, good for you…but don't feel bad if you choose to go the other way).
If you cannot find a ministry or organization who wants you to raise money for them, you can easily raise money for national ministries and organizations without a lot of work. All you have to do is allow a portion or the entirety of your eBay profits to be donated automatically to the organization.
You can do this on the Create a Listing page.
There is a section on the Create a Listing page called eBay Giving Works. In this section, you can choose to donate a portion or the entirety of your eBay profits to a nonprofit organization. Just select the charity and the amount you wish to donate, and eBay will handle the rest for you. Plus, they will give you a credit on basic selling fees.

To Your Youthful Success,
